About the Event
The Keyboard Department of the University of the Philippines College of Musicinvites you to the BAROQUE MUSIC FESTIVAL from March 20-24, 2017, 6:30 in the evening at the Abelardo Hall Auditorium, UP Diliman, Quezon City. This week-long festival will feature the keyboard music of Johann Sebastian Bach, William Byrd, Louis-Nicolas Clérambault, François Couperin, George Frideric Handel, Johann Pachelbel, Alessandro and Domenico Scarlatti, and Johann Gottfried Walther.
Featured artists are students, faculty, and alumni of the University of the Philippines and guest artists from the Greenhills Music Studio, Philippine Women’s University, St. Scholastica’s College and the University of Santo Tomas. Highlight of this festival is the “Organ Music of the Baroque” to be played by the acclaimed Filipino concert organist Armando Salarza on March 23, 2017.
