About the Event
Through the years, our country has suffered because of individuals who hesitate to follow the simplest rules. The society has fallen into a deep wound that needs medication.
Oppression is almost everywhere; drug addicts, thieves, rapists, etc., they work everyday and overnight to satisfy themselves. These people are blinded by their own selfishness as their victims lurk through the darkness in order to search for justice. On the 3rd day of May, Tuesday 6 PM, visual artist Odang opens his first solo exhibition entitled, “Internal Bleeding” at Art Underground.
This exhibit, which features his new works in charcoal on paper mainly showcases his sketches that speak about the slowly ruining society. Each artwork has it’s own significance which Odang will be discussing through out the opening night of the exhibit. Odang, as an aware individual of how brutal and chaotic our world we live in now, created works which for him, could serve as a wake up call to everybody and especially to the next generation who will eventually lead the future.
Some of his works are influenced by his personal experiences and through media’s interpretation of the present. Art Underground is located at 814 Balagtas St., Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.
