Owned and operated by the state, the Philippine National Railways (PNR) runs a commuter rail service along Metro Manila, Laguna, Quezon, and the Bicol Region. The Commuter Express, also called the Commex, is the commuter rail service for the Manila metropolitan area, extending as far south as Calamba City, Laguna.
