Escolta Street

This street was formerly known as Downtown Manila, the prime area for shopping and entertainment. While no longer the glamorous busy street it once was, Escolta is still frequented for the pre-war Art Deco architecture that remain. Other highlights include the old structure of the very first Savory restaurant. At the end of Escolta Street is Santa Cruz Church, a parish church built by the Jesuits in the 1600s.
