Xiaomi 12S Ultra Unveiled: A Flagship Phone with a Leica Camera Setup
Xiaomi has officially launched their latest flagship phone, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The new smartphone is designed to showcase the smartphone company’s latest partnership with global camera manufacturer Leica.
Launched with the 12S and 12S Pro, the 12S Ultra is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with a new 3D cooling system and Xiaomi’s Surge P1 fast-charging for its 4,860mAh battery. But its main feature that Xiaomi fans would surely be excited about is its triple camera setup.
The 12S Ultra is sure to gather attention with its large, round lens sporting a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony’s 1-inch IMX989 sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and a maximum 120x magnification. It is also equipped with Leica’s Authentic Look and Vibrant Look. Xiaomi also takes pride in 12S Ultra’s Dolby Vision HDR video.
Meanwhile, the phone’s display is a 6.73-inch with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate with a punch-hole 32MP front camera and its sound is produced through dual Harman Kardon speakers.
Available in Classic Black or Verdant Green, the S12 Ultra’s price starts at CNY 5,999 (around P49,300) for the 8GB+256GB variant, CNY 6,499 (around P53,420) for the 12GB+256GB variant, and CNY 6,999 (around P57,530) for the 12GB+512GB variant. Currently available in China, details on its international release have yet to be announced.
