A woman going through some tough times with her wayward husband and teenage daughter runs away to North Carolina to tend to a friend's coastal inn. As she hides away, a storm rolls in, and along with it, a tortured doctor facing problems of his own. In one weekend, the two find the strength to deal with their crises in each other.
