Foreman was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Linda Lawson, an actress, and John Foreman, a producer. She is the younger sister of Julie Foreman, an actress.
Foreman played Felicity's college roommate, Meghan Rotundi, a Wiccan who — in "Help for the Lovelorn" (January 23, 2000), an homage to The Twilight Zone — uses her magic on Felicity. She was, until 2006, a recurring guest star on the television series Alias, where she played NSA-agent Carrie Bowman who became the wife of series regular Marshall Flinkman (played by Kevin Weisman). She later starred as Ivy on What About Brian, which ABC canceled in May 2007. All three of the aforementioned television series were produced by J.J. Abrams. While two were co-created by Abrams.
During her career she had guest starred on multiple shows such as Nash Bridges, Six Feet Under, ER, and In Plain Sight. She also had a recurring role on Private Practice. Foreman is set to reprise this role in Season 4.
She is currently recurring on Parenthood as Suze Lessing.
