Daren Kagasoff

Daren Maxwell Kagasoff (born September 16, 1987) is an American actor. He starred as Ricky Underwood on the ABC Family teen soap The Secret Life of the American Teenager from 2008-2013. Career While attending school at San Francisco State University, Kagasoff decided to become an actor. Returning to Los Angeles, he landed the leading role in a local theater production of "Suburbia", a play based on the 1996 film of the same name. After studied acting he began auditioning for television and film roles. On one of his first auditions, he impressed producer Brenda Hampton that she hand-picked him to star as Ricky Underwood in the ABC Family television series, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager". In the January 2010 spread of VMAN, he gave an interview saying that the celebrities that he would like to be compared with are Leonardo DiCaprio and Emile Hirsch. He also said that despite liking television roles, he'd like to appear in movies and plays. It was announced on February 24, 2013, that Kagasoff had been cast as Alex in the FOX pilot Delirium, based on the novel by Lauren Oliver. Kagasoff co-starred as Trevor in the supernatural horror film Ouija, directed by Stiles White and co-written by Juliet Snowden and White. The film was released in October 2014. Personal life Kagasoff was born in Encino, California. He is Jewish.
