Garry Cooper

Garry Cooper is an English actor.
He was born in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire on 2 June 1955, to Terry and Nora Cooper. He has one daughter, Ruby, from his first marriage and is engaged to writer Harriet Vyner. After moving to London to study at Drama Center at the age of 16, Garry's first professional role was as one of the brothers in Joseph and his Technicoloured Dreamcoat. In 1979 Garry appeared in the cult film Quadrophenia as Peter (Leslie Ash's boyfriend).
After moving back to Yorkshire, Garry teamed up with his stage and theatre director friend Nick Bagnall, as co-artistic directors of the Milton Rooms in Malton. On the 26 June 2011, they launched their theatrical presence in the town with a unique production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, most of which was performed in the streets of Malton before climaxing at the Milton Rooms.
