Benjamin Alves

Benjamin Alves (born March 31, 1989), is a Filipino actor and model under the management of GMA Network. He is 23 years old, born on March 31, 1989 and a nephew of Filipino actor, Piolo Pascual. He is an upcoming leading man for a movie, Guni-Guni under Regal Films. --- Benjamin Alves, a nephew of famous Filipino actor, Piolo Pascual grew up in Guam. In 2006, he went to the Philippines to try a career in modelling. He was then launched into show business as Vince Saldaña in 2008 appearing on ABS-CBN's reality model-search competition Close-Up to Fame where he became a finalist. He was then signed up as a VIVA artist and launched his first acting career on QTV’s teen series POSH and other Viva Films movies like Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo and Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat in 2007. He also starred on soap operas Dalawang Tisoy in RPN-9, Ysabella on ABS-CBN and Impostora on GMA Network. Aside from television guestings and movie appearances, he also appeared on various commercials and on magazine covers. He appeared as model in many pictorials and has even appeared as a cover of a gay magazine, Discreet. He was supposed to be one of the cast of GMA Network's L.U.V. Pow but was withdrawn after the cast reboot. Alves left show business in 2009 to continue his studies. On 2012, he graduated Summa cum laude at the University of Guam under the English Literature degree. He told the press that he wanted to have a masters degree but he decided to go full time in showbiz first since the opportunity is already there.
