A farmer is having with his current crop of corn, and is in danger of losing his land. His luck turns around when he puts up a scarecrow he finds in his barn, his problems disappearing one by one. But the scarecrow is far more sinister than he suspects, and the farmer and his family must pay the price for his good fortune.
