The highly anticipated Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is set to light up Philippine cinemas on January 15, 2025, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled. This installment introduces the iconic Keanu Reeves as Shadow the Hedgehog, a fan-favorite villain who promises to take the franchise to electrifying new heights.

In the recently released featurette Casting a Shadow, Reeves delves into the complexity of his new role. “For 50 years, Shadow’s been in a state of suspended animation. He’s coming out of it seeking revenge,” Reeves shares. Known for his legendary portrayals in The Matrix and John Wick series, Reeves adds his unique flair to the enigmatic Shadow, declaring, “Sonic’s no match for me.”

A Star-Studded Cast

The excitement doesn’t stop with Reeves. Idris Elba, reprising his role as Knuckles, praises Reeves’ contributions: “Keanu, whatever he does, he kind of brings icon status to it.” With returning stars Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, Ben Schwartz as Sonic, and Tails voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessey, the film promises a high-octane, humor-filled adventure.

The Plot Thickens

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 reunites Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails as they face off against Shadow, a foe with powers that surpass anything they’ve encountered before. With the planet’s fate hanging in the balance, Team Sonic must form unlikely alliances to overcome this shadowy adversary.
