The new biopic bares the story of the first smartphone brand BlackBerry, from its meteoric rise to its downfall in a ruthlessly competitive industry. It follows the nerdy Mike Lazaridis and his friend Douglas Fregin who were able to create a phone that can also send and receive emails. Along with the sharp businessman Balsillie, they must face the biggest obstacles as they try to find success in Silicon Valley.

BlackBerry is directed by Matt Johnson who also stars in the film. The cast also includes Jay Baruchel, Glenn Howerton, and Saul Rubinek. The film is set to be released in US theaters on May 12.
