WATCH: Emotional ‘Black Panther 2’ Trailer Hints a New Hero Donning the Suit
The first trailer for the much-awaited sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is out, giving us a first glimpse at the latest events happening within the world’s most powerful nation.
The trailer hints at an emotional funeral for the Black Panther himself, King T’Challa. Fans have expected this for a while now after actor Chadwick Boseman passed on in August of 2020. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige then said they will not recast or use CGI to bring T’Challa back on the big screen.
Watch the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever below:
The trailer opens with Nakia, Shuri, Okoye, Queen Ramonda, and the whole nation of Wakanda mourning for their King, while an emotional rendition of No Woman No Cry plays in the background. We are then introduced to the people of Atlantis and its leader, Namor the Sub-Mariner, who will act as the villain in the new film. We see war breaking out between the two nations, but before the trailer closes, a new hero in the Black Panther suit arrives– his or her identity undisclosed to the viewers.
