WATCH: Disney’s Live-Action ‘Pinocchio’ Starring Tom Hanks Unveils Trailer
Disney’s live-action adaptation of their classic animated film Pinocchio has dropped its teaser trailer!
After Beauty and The Beast, Lion King, Mulan, and Aladdin, Disney’s beloved film about a puppet wishing to become a real boy is up next on its roster of classics getting the live-action treatment. While we barely get a good look at Pinocchio in the trailer, the clips still tease an epic adventure involving the puppet’s father Gepetto, as well as Jiminy Cricket.
Watch the teaser trailer for Pinocchio below:
Tom Hanks stars as Gepetto, while Pinocchio is voiced by The Haunting of Bly Manor star Benjamin Evan Ainsworth. Also part of the cast are Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, Lorraine Bracco as Sofia the Seagull, Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy, Keegan Michael-Key as Honest John, and Luke Evans as the Coachman.
The film is set for release on Disney Plus this September 8. It is yet to be announced if the film will be available in Philippine theaters.
Back in January, Netflix also shared a teaser trailer for its Pinocchio movie, a stop-motion animated film directed by Guillermo del Toro, who is expected to inject dark themes into the story first written by Italian writer Carlo Collodi in 1883.
