Romance fills the air at City of Dreams Manila as the luxury integrated resort charms guests with impressive dining and staycation experiences with loved ones this Valentine’s season.

Nobu Manila

The Manila outpost of the globally renowned restaurant founded by celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, located at Nobu Hotel Manila, presents a five-course Valentine’s Day dinner menu on February 14 for P6,000 net person. The swoon-worthy menu, which comes with a glass of welcome drink starts with the chef’s choice of appetizer followed by a selection of Nobu Canapés: unagi (freshwater eel) den miso; Nobu Malibu-style crispy rice; ika (squid) with yuzu kosho (spicy yuzu paste) and caviar. An assorted selection of Nobu sushi served along with a clear soup of ginger, oyster and negi (leeks) come after. The dinner goes a notch higher with the next course of Hokkaido Scallops with vanilla miso, foie gras and sesame seeds; and Seared Wagyu Beef with onsen tamago (Japanese-style soft boiled egg), dried miso garlic chips, and glazed sake-mirin reduction. A delightful dessert of Delicate Chocolate Heart with strawberry and rum mousse, red velvet cake and mixed berry sorbet finishes an amorous dinner. In Nobu fashion, the occasion would cater to celebrations for two, a family affair or single friends getting together.

Crystal Dragon

Crystal Dragon, one of the metro’s elite restaurants for Cantonese cuisine, impresses with a four-course set menu available from February 13 to 14 for lunch and dinner. The menu, which comes with a glass of sparkling wine, whets the appetite with an appetizer of premium Ostra Regal Oyster with kaffir lime chili dressing served with foie gras toast with red wine vinaigrette reduction, which is followed with a rich and hearty soup of Alaskan King Crab Bisque with aromatic Szechuan mala oil. The romantic indulgence continues with a melt-in-the-mouth Heritage Braised Pork Belly with star anise, cinnamon, golden quail egg, and Romanesco broccoli; and Signature XO Lobster Thermidor with handmade bamboo charcoal noodles and truffle chicken pillow dumpling. Providing a sweet yet light conclusion to the meal is a dessert of Mango Pomelo Lava Chiffon. The set menu is priced at P5,500 net per person for a minimum order for two persons. 

Crystal Dragon is open daily from 12 noon to 11 pm.

Haliya

City of Dreams Manila’s dining destination for modern Filipino restaurant celebrates the season of love with an “Araw ng mga Puso” special menu available for dinner on February 14. The offer, priced at P9,000 net for two persons, comes with a three-course menu, a variety of confections at the dessert station, and two rounds of cocktails of the guest’s choice.

The menu includes The Prawn, an irresistible dish of marinated prawn, red cabbage pearl, compressed watermelon, cucumber water, watercress, citrus segments, baby radish and micro herbs; Roasted Tomato Crema, a heartwarming soup of semi-confit cherry tomato, kesong puti (local cottage cheese) tortellini, tomato powder, micro basil and cream foam; and Beef Tenderloin, a mouthwatering course of sous vide black Angus beef tenderloin with roasted beetroot heart puree, celeriac crème, squash fondant, baby carrot, asparagus, and black pepper jus. Choices at the dessert station are strawberry pastillas, mango cheesecake, hazelnut cake, white choco vanilla cake, raspberry panna cotta, fresh fruit skewers; while the selection of cocktails include Berries Lovers Dream, Blush and Berry Mojito, Heaven’s Heart, and Whisky Crush.

Haliya is open from 5 pm to 11 pm on Valentine’s Day.

Café Society

Café Society spoils guests with its array of thoughtfully packaged sweet indulgences this season of love. Available from February 11 to 14, the tempting lineup of delectable chocolates, cakes, pastries, and other confections that are perfect for gifting to loved ones are comprised of Heart Milk Choco Crème and Crispy Crunch Cake; Valentine’s Day Chocolate Mocha Cheesecake, Valentine Heart Duo Cake. Handcrafted chocolates by the resort’s world-class chocolatiers such as Valentine Heart in a box, Valentine Flowers in bloom, and Heart of Roses in a pot are a must-try. Pair the delectable confections with an array of flower arrangements available at the café, with a choice of a long stem rose, a bouquet of three, six or 12 roses, if not  a fuller spring bouquet.

Café Society is open from 10 am to 9 pm, and on Tuesdays from 8 am.

CenterPlay

For lovers in the mood for live music and good tipples, the cool snack and cocktail lounge that features nightly live performances from local artists is offering Valentine’s Day-inspired concoctions available for the whole month of February. The selection of cocktails, which starts at P500 net, include Amore, Self-Love, Dear Cupid, Love at First Sip, Pinky Promise, I Do, and Freya.

CenterPlay is open daily from 6 pm to 2 am.

Rossi Pizza

City of Dreams Manila’s pizzeria, known for its Roman-style pizzas, offers a Sunday Brunch experience starting February 9. A seductive spread combining Italian favorites and rustic dishes rooted in the Italian tradition of cooking are showcased in the buffet’s action stations. The pasta station highlights chicken fettucine alfredo and penne arrabbiata with shrimp prepared à la minute, while the pizza station features bacon and onion, all-meat and vegetable pizza. Other satisfying choices are freshly baked focaccia bread, grissini, and an assortment of breads, and sandwiches such as Monte Cristo and grilled vegetable with pesto mayo, complemented by a salad station with a selection of mixed greens and dressings. An array of sliced fresh fruits in season and the chef’s choice of desserts for the day complete the brunch spread.

Rossi Pizza’s Sunday Brunch is from 11 am to 3 pm, at P999++ per person. Children ages six to 12 years old dine at half the price and below six are free of charge.

Wave

Acclaimed actor and singer Ian Veneracion delights guests with a one-night-only Valentine’s weekend concert on February 15 at 8 pm at Wave, Nobu Hotel Manila’s poolside restaurant. Seat reservations are offered with consumables at P3,000 net per person.
