It's been such a long wait, and after years of wishing for the restaurant to come to Manila, the first branch of Panda Express is finally opening to the public this Thursday, December 12 at the Upper Ground Floor of SM Megamall!
First opened in Glendale, California, Panda Express is established by the Cherng Family, with hopes bringing their flavorful cuisine to the US. The restaurant takes pride in serving an extensive menu of American Chinese dishes that are all bold in flavor, and are made with the freshest ingredients, something that's palatable to their valued guests.
The restaurant has opened in over 2,200 locations all over the world since its establishment in 1983, with branches not only in the United States, but also in Mexico, South Korea, Japan, and, now, the Philippines.
Ahead of its official opening to the public, we got the chance to have a first look at Panda Express' first branch in Manila. Here are some of the must-tries from their menu, and how best to enjoy them – pairs and all:
Perfect for those looking for a hefty meal, Panda Express offers various combinations, which depends on your preferred side dish as well. Order it by the Bowl (P195), and you can enjoy 1 entree with 1 side dish; by the Plate (P245), which has 2 entrees and 1 side; and by the Bigger Plate (P295), a feast which includes 3 entrees and 1 side.
As for the side dish, note that you can also opt to get a full serving of their Chow Mein, Rice, or Mixed Vegetables, or split two of these into half to get the best of both worlds!
