About the Event
DARE TO MOVE 8: ELEVATE rocked the Le Pavillon Events Place, Pasay City last November 11, 2016 with more than seven hundred dance enthusiasts who supported different schools and universities! Are you one of them?
One of the longest hip hop dance battle organized by fourth year BS Hotel and Restaurant Management students of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas was back in its eighth year as DARE TO MOVE 8: ELEVATE. The event showcased the dancing talents of students from the following high schools and colleges:
Participants in the High School Category: Dasmariñas National High School, Emilio Aguinaldo College – SHS, Dasmariñas West National High School, Fiat Lux Academe, Holy Redeemer School, St. Jerome Emiliani Institue, Victorious Christian Montessori, Congressional National High School and Imus Institute of Science and Technology.
Participants in the College Category: Asian Institute of Maritime Studies, City College of Tagaytay, St. Jude College, Cavite State University – Imus, Datamex College of St. Adeline, Lyceum of the Philippines – Manila and Brookfield College.
Dare to Move 8: Elevate created a whole new level of craze as the student participants and Dasmariñas Dance Company collaborated in an intensifying dance performance upon the start and at the end of the event. Matching it with the sexy and heart thumping performances from RunCav Movers and Rock★Well!
All teams exceptionally danced their Alma Mater’s pride out and had a tight and intense battle that made kept the audience on their toes from the very beginning of the event up to the very end of the competition. But just like any competition, the number got down to only three groups per category and got their respective places. Here are the official winners of Dare to Move 8: Elevate:
High School Category Champion: Imus Institute of Science and Technology
2nd Runner Up: Fiat Lux Academe
3rd Runner Up: Dasmariñas West National High School
College Category Champion: City College of Tagaytay
2nd Runner Up: Asian Institute of Maritime Studies
3rd Runner Up: Lyceum of the Philippines - Manila
At the end of Dare to Move 8: Elevate and in behalf of the Events Team, we congratulate all the student participants for successfully showcasing their talents and dancing their passion.
