About the Event

Part of the Project Bakawan, Daloy is an exhibition composed of more than 50 participating artists. It is scheduled before the 2017 ASEAN Summit (which the Philippines will be hosting) on the theme of water.

Artists were asked to respond to water as material and concept and its different aspects (flow and stagnation, roots and routes, sustainer and destroyer, and barriers and links).

The exhibit will also be supplemented with different lectures and art workshops (February 11, 18 and 25), followed by a concert on February 26. Daloy runs until February 27.

Project Bakawan is a collaborative art festival that started last February 2015 in different spaces in UP Diliman. It seeks to establish a network of art practitioners, academics, students, and community organizations in order to secure a sustainable future against the current ecological and global crisis.
