About the Event
This coming February 7, 2016, Project LAAN will host its first ever fun run entitled “LUX: Neon Run.” Participants are invited to run the night and illuminate the roads as they race their way throughout the grounds of the Ateneo de Manila campus.
With the theme of a neon run, LUX will feature colorful lights decorated in the run’s assembly area and glow accessories donned by over 300 runners. Black Lights will also be installed for an extra boost of glow.
LUX: Neon Run has two categories, 3K and 5K – which will start at 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM, respectively. On-site registration will start at 6:00 in the evening.
The event will also serve to raise awareness about Project LAAN, Inc., a youth-led, non-government organization, and its advocacy towards Universal Health Coverage for the Poor and Vulnerable. All proceeds of the event will be used to fund this advocacy, specifically in the organization’s effort in enrolling its partner-communities in Calawis, Antipolo and Galvaville, Laguna to social health insurance.
Registration for the benefit fun run is ongoing. To register for the run, visit our website lux.projectlaan.org, LUX: Neon Run’s Facebook page, or our designated booth at the Ateneo campus.
