About the Event
The Municipal Government of Carmona invites everyone to the week-long celebration of the Sorteo Festival 2019 happening from February 15 to 23, 2019 at the Hon. Marciano Mapanoo Park or also known as the Carmona Town Plaza.
This year, Carmona has prepared a fun-filled line up of events for the whole week starting on February 15 with the kick-off of the festival through the Ani ng Kinabukasan Grand Opening where spectators will witness colorful street dances, festive decorated houses, sumptuous street foods, and a showcase of various talents.
Some of the crowd favorite celebrities such as Arjo Atayde, Joseph Marco, and Vin Abrenica will also visit the Center for Investment and Sports for the highly anticipated Basketball with the Stars.
Visitors and locals will also witness the battle of singing prowess from the six children and six adult contenders of Gintong Tinig, Gintong Himig Finals. Aside from this, the Binibining Sorteo 2019 will also be crowned from a pool of 17 candidates exhibiting confidence, wits, and grace.
The highlight of the festival, the Sorteo ng Bukid ng Bayan, will happen from February 20 to 23 where there will be a lottery of communal agricultural lands which can be utilized by lucky Carmonians for three years.
Sorteo ng Bukid ng Bayan or simply Sorteo Festival is a triennial celebration featuring colorful competitions, showcase of talents, and parade of beauty and artistry on top of the actual lottery marathon of communal lands.
