Honda Cars Philippines Inc. celebrated significant sales growth of the second generation Jazz for the first eight months of the year. Generating cumulative sales of 1,434 unit sales from January to August, this year’s Jazz sales were actually seven times better than its performance during the same period of last year. It already surpassed 2008’s total sales of 1,170 units by 22.6%, even if there are still four months left on the calendar. Out of Honda’s entire passenger car line-up, the Jazz accounted for 14% of this year’s sales.

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) dominated the passenger car (PC) segment during the first quarter of the year with 3,869 unit sales. This was 33% higher than the 2,920 units it sold in the same period last year. With the entry of the 3rd generation City in January, Honda was able to secure its claim in the PC market for three consecutive months. Data released by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) showed that Honda captured 38% share of the PC market during the first quarter.

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) started the year with passenger car (PC) leadership as the most-awaited 3rd generation Honda City entered the local market last January. Data released by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) showed that Honda posted 1,278 unit sales and captured 38% of the entire PC market. Notwithstanding the impact of global economic turmoil, HCPI proved its resilience as it managed to register 22% growth in car sales.
